Twitter GIF Downloader
GIF posts on X are not stored as .gif files: X saves them as short MP4 videos. This Twitter GIF downloader converts that MP4 into a real .gif in your browser, so you can download a Twitter GIF without signing up or installing anything.

FAQ
Can I just rename .mp4 to .gif?
No. Renaming does not convert the file. Use the “Convert to GIF” button.
Why does my GIF have no sound?
GIF files cannot carry audio. If you need sound, save the MP4 or extract an MP3 from a video that has an audio track.
How do I save the GIF on an iPhone?
It lands in Files, in Downloads. Long-press the file, tap Share, then Save Image. It plays in the Animated album in Photos.
Can I reuse someone else’s GIF?
A public post does not give you permission to re-upload it. Ask the rights holder first.
